For private buyers, authorisation of the "Comisión de Administración de Divisas" (CADIVI) or a bank guarantee is required. The claims waiting period is 12 months. For cover of transactions with public buyers, an authorisation by the President or the Minister of Finance or a guarantee of the Ministry of Finance/Central Bank is required.
